Creative Podcasters
Students will learn the process of creating their very own audio/video podcast by exploring the tools around them. They will learn about how to set up a camera, using audio, syncing audio/video, splicing & editing footage, and exploring intriguing topics to hook an audience.

Each day students will film a 5 minute podcast and sync the audio/video together. Creators will learn how to make and edit a podcast from start to finish using the tools and resources accessible to them at home.

Weekly Breakdown
Week 1 - Create a Hook
We kick off with a fresh, student-chosen topic (e.g., "Would You Rather…?", "My Weirdest Dream," "Top 3 Minecraft biomes"). Creators brainstorm interesting opening hooks, write a 1-minute intro script together in small groups, set up their camera + mic at home, and film just the intro + their first big story. Everyone ends the day with a quick "best hook" playback.

Week 2 - First Episode Creation
Time to build the full episode! Creators will plan their topic of discussion (could be the hook from last week or something new). Set up the camera & mic and start talking about your topic of choice; make a 5 minute podcast episode. Feel free to go off a script or have an open discussion depending on your style. Finish up by syncing the audio with the clips and cut out any mistakes or empty space. If you have time, add an intro/outro to your episode.

Week 3 - Invite a guest
Episode 2 creators will invite a guest from the class. Creators will spend some time planning out what topic and questions they will discuss with the guest. Each creator will take turns filming on each other's show and spending the remainder of the time editing.

Week 4 - Wrap up & watch
Creators will come together and finish up editing your podcasts. Creators will all go around and show a short clip of an episode of their choice to the others.
