Our Shark Tank Story
The Application
Kai put in an application for Shark Tank without even being 100% sure that the form was legit. Because of this he didn't tell any of the guys about it. He just thought there's no harm in trying, right?

The Call
Kai didn't realized that the form autofilled to submit Cazden's number! So during camp, while checking in a bunch of students for the day, Cazden's phone rang. A Shark Tank producer was on the other line! He thought it was a scam, so he asked the Producer if he could call her back. He quickly texted Kai to check if we were really being asked to interview to be on the show and Kai told him that it was legit. Cazden excitedly called back.

The Set
One of the first tasks we had was to mock up a set for the show. Jacky, our lead designer, wanted to capture the essence of what Creator Camp is all about. A space where there's creative things being made everywhere! Since it was still camp time, we were able to ask a few parent's if they were cool with thier child being part of the cardboard cutouts for the set. They were more than excited to see thier child on TV!

Intense Prep
As it became more and more apparent that we were going to be on the show, we had to start prepping for the big day. We practiced our pitch to the point where we would have dreams about it. We also role played Q and A's with so many different scenarios that we even practiced being shouted at by the Sharks!

LA Bound
It was time to fly out to LA to film the show. Not going to lie, We were all so nervous the entire week leading up to it. Once we landed in LAX, We met at the hotel Shark Tank put us in, rehearsed a bunch and tried to meditate. That night we hardly slept, it was about to be the biggest day of our lives!

Facing the Sharks
The experience of being on set was so surreal. Hours before our call time we were being treated like Hollywood A-listers, getting full faces of makeup, getting our hair done and getting our outfits steamed. The whole time we actually didn't see the Sharks, so when we walked out in front of them, that was the first time seeing them. Jacky says that from that point on, he blacked out. He doesn't remember anything from the pitch!

Barbara's Deal
After all the other sharks were out, Barbara decided to make an offer. We (maybe naively) negotiated really hard for a deal, despite her being our only option. Thankfully, we got a great deal and we're so excited to be working with Barbara and her team!
