This course will dive into the world of Movie Reviews! Using VN Editor, students will film and edit their own movie reviews.
Students learn how to review movies like the pros, how to flesh out their opinions, and how to shoot and edit their reviews in a format made for a YouTube channel!

Our online courses are interactive, teacher-led workshops held once a week over Zoom, with each session lasting 1 hour. Scheduled every week on a convenient weekday from 6-7 pm Central Time. During each session, the teacher will guide students through exciting activities, fostering both creativity and learning!
Nothing is ever uploaded to YouTube during camp — we want to give parents the choice. Instead, all videos are shared directly with you via email. After camp, you can decide whether to share their work on YouTube, allowing them to proudly showcase their projects!

Weekly Breakdown
Week 1 - How to Review a Film
Students will learn the basics of reviewing films. Students will watch clips from movies and practice reviewing as a class, as well as film their YouTube intro. Students will receive a movie to watch so we can review in week 2.
Week 2 - Reviewing Their First Film
Students will share their review of the movie we watched. Students will film and edit their review. Students will receive their individual movie to watch and review in week 3.
Week 3 - Watching Film Reviews
Students will play their film review videos for the class. Learning to upload to YouTube. Students will receive their final movie assignment for week 4. This assignment is for them to watch a movie with their parents that was their favorite as a kid, and then make a final review video about it.
Week 4 - Final Review
For the grand finale, students will present their review of the movie they watched with their parents. We will go over how to market and grow a film review channel.
