Minecraft Modders and Architects
In Minecraft Modders and Architects online camp, campers will learn the basics of coding, create unique codes in Minecraft, and compete in build challenges! They will also get to share their work with others in our unique online celebration!
Each day campers share progress with mods that they created, learn a new skill in Minecraft Education, then apply those skills to create new codes each week!

Our online courses are interactive, teacher-led workshops held once a week over Zoom, with each session lasting 1 hour. These workshops will run from the week of January 20th to the week of March 3rd, scheduled every week on a convenient weekday from 6-7 pm Central Time. During each session, the teacher will guide students through exciting activities, fostering both creativity and learning!

Weekly Breakdown
Week 1 & 2 - Events and Variables
Students dive into Minecraft Modding basics, covering events, variables, and block coding. They'll create mods like diamond paths, super jumps, water walking, and more, with opportunities to develop unique mods based on their ideas.
Week 3 & 4 - Coordinates, Loops, Functions and Arrays
Students advance their coding skills by learning coordinates, functions, and arrays, creating mods like spawning hundreds of animals and even controlling time.
Week 5 & 6 - Simple A.I. and Celebration
Students learn simple A.I. in Minecraft to create new mods such as code-based house building, road generation, and auto-farming. In the final session, all students will come together to celebrate and showcase the mods they've created!
