The only summer camp on
How'd we do it?
shh... i'm submitting an application
A long, long, time ago… well six months ago to be exact, Kai, secretly submitted an application to ABC’s hit television show, Shark Tank. As a fan of the show he thought his odds weren’t great but as a wise man once said, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.
The Call
On one faithful day Cazden’s phone unexpectedly rang. Assuming it was another parent calling to rave about camp he quickly answered but what he heard was none other than a Shark Tank producer! Although shocked Cazden played it cool and accepted the quest at hand, to prepare for a trip to "Shark Tank" land.
Set Transformation
Thus the team was formed, recruiting Jacky, the head designer, skilled with a wand (and photoshop) he worked his magic, creating a stunning set for the show, showcasing some of our campers and what a day at Creator Camp encapsulates.
Intense Prep
With the ideas all together the pitch practice began. Shoutout to zoom for being one of our best friends. We spent so much time refining each line until Robbie and Winston thought it was fine. (Well they thought it was more than fine but the word “fine” rhymed)
LA Bound
Now it was time to begin the travel for the show! It took Kai 24 hours to fly all the way from Australia, and Jacky and Cazden met him in Los Angeles all the way from Texas—our cardboard students made it safely (no jet lag luckily but feeling a little “stiff”)!
Facing the Sharks
Swimming and pitching in the Tank was surreal—thrilling and nerve-wracking as we pitched and got grilled. Lucky for us the Sharks were well fed by our enthusiasm, humor, and the squid hats on our heads!
Barbara's Deal
Just when it seemed all the Sharks would swim away, our very favorite Shark decided to stay! Barbara spoke up with an interesting deal! We took a risk, kept negotiating, and decided to make our dreams real!
