Due to privacy risks, students will not be publishing their videos to Youtube during the camp, instead all videos will be shared to parents. It is up to you if you would like to let your child publish their videos to Youtube after the camp.
NOTE: An iPad is required for this program, if you do not own one, a rental option will be available upon purchase.
Each day, a relevant YouTube skill will be introduced; including gaming videos, vlogs, reaction videos, skits, and more. Students will learn how to make media for the 21st century, with a focus on the entire creative process as students create digital content for their own YouTube Channels, developing skills in editing, branding, and screen presence.
On day 1 of the YouTube Creators camp your child will dive into the essentials. Learn the skills to film themselves playing their favorite game, adding entertaining and meaningful commentary. Master the art of crafting unique intros, outros, and creating a standout logo.
On day 2, your child will explore the dynamic realm of YouTube Shorts. They'll learn the art of creating vertical videos and gain hands-on experience in the editing process. Additionally, students get the exciting opportunity to bring in their own tech or toys for review. Our instructors will guide them through the process of crafting engaging and informative reviews, providing valuable insights for their viewers.
Students showcase their creativity by crafting a powerful PSA. Covering online internet safety, social media awareness, and anti-bullying messages, they present their messages in a fun and informative skit.
Wrapping up camp, The Creator Camp Oscars, is our very own mock Oscars film festival. Students get the red carpet treatment as they proudly display their YouTube projects, receiving accolades for their creative endeavors. If they're up for it, students can give an acceptance speech or dress up in suits and dresses—it's all about personal expression, and we're all in for whatever they choose!
